If the Phone Doesn’t Ring, It’s Me

359414177.jpg404723963.jpg Ok, I’m glad to be back online posting to the family and friends. I think monday of last week was the last post. Since then, I’ve settled into my job and bit more, and continue to enjoy all that Portland has to offer. Rumor has it that the KU girls soccer team is coming to Portland Friday to play the U of Portland. It’s always nice to have some sort of Kansas link. I was talking to someone the other day about basketball, and it came up that he knew several KU fans in the area. Rock Chalk Jayhawk. And for those counting, KU is on its way to a bowl game this year.

Speaking of bowling, I just started my new interest: the bowling league. Yep, I never thought that I’d do it, but I have. And not bad I must say: 134 followed by 122 or so. I started with 2 strikes and a spare, and quickly went down from there. But, we managed to pull out 2 wins. End of the season prediction: I will bowl a 175 at least. Key component to successful 2nd frame bowling is to eat with your non-bowling hand, so as not to get “tater tot hand” and lose a few in the later frames.

Another addition to my eating list is Ken’s Artisan Pizza, which is located in the SouthEast, near 28th and Pine. Nice, real nice atmosphere, and some good eats. They took off the window coverings later in the evening to give an outdoor feel even in the inside. Last week I dominated at the Farmer’s Market at Portland State. Rustled up some good grub, and picked off some cider as well. I got everything on my list except for the melon. Next time.

  1. Not sure about the Feist plan, and JP a sub 20 is a sub 20, and you didn’t get it. Try to call around 6:15-7:00 your time, and I am around.
