About a week has passed since my last post. I have since moved to a new location, and I am still downtown Portland. Everything is set up, with the exception of my furniture, which I had delivered on Friday, but I have yet to put together. If it’s not assembled by this Thur, I’ll probably hire an furniture group to do it for me. My mom is about 1 1/2 weeks away from taking Portland by storm. We have thanksgiving plans, but I’m sure these kind folks have no idea what they are getting into. My niece had a baptism this weekend. I would have been the godfather, but due to my absence, I was not able to fulfill those duties. Afterwards, I heard that there was a taco party at my mom’s house for many people. I haven’t been to a good taco party in a while. Halloween passed by as well, I wish that I could have seen my nieces in their halloween outfits.
I really do enjoy it out here, but I do wish that I could be around for more. I know that I would have been to some KU games with friends at least 3 or 4 times already, and I would be gearing up for the KU hoops season at Allen Field House. My friend Tim did call during the KU-OSU game after he sent me text message updates while we searched for a restaurant with the game on(we ended up back at The City, and there were about 30+ KU fans with KU gear on). It was good to hear from him. My brothers also called this weekend, and it was good to hear from them. I wish that I could have gone golfing with them last weekend. Next time I’m home, I’m in(unless its under 45degrees). I did buy some golf rounds at Dub’s and Painted Hills for them to use if the weather still holds up. I did some trendy text messaging also, and its a good way to hear from others.
Thanksgiving is slowly approaching, but I won’t wait until then to say thanks. I sure am thankful for the many people in my life. I enjoy the chances I have to talk to them, send text messages, email them, spend time with them. I’m glad that I have so many special people to hang out with, and to know, even if I don’t say it, I sure do feel that way. I’m super pumped, as I think that I wrote in my last post, to get home and see so many familiar faces. But until then, I’m going to take one day at a time here, and try to really appreciate the wonderful new challenges and gifts in my life, while I remain thankful for those gifts back home. Take care, have a great week. I love you all.

Panda, I think that Portland in the summer is a great idea. I did some research, Mr. Adventure Man wants to climb Mt. Hood. It is a day I think, start at about 3am, and try to get back before the sun goes down. The tricky part is, the past year, several people disappeared. Itwas on CNN. Even though, Superboy won’t back down, he has his mind set on that. I suppose I’m in, a bit apprehensive though.

New bowling league has started, last week I held my own, we used one of my scores, 122, which is bad. This week though, I fell apart. I showed up late(again), couldn’t find my ball, so I ended up using 8 different balls. None worked, 122 followed by 98. OUCH! The Blazers have won 3 in a row, and I noticed KU has been getting some SportsCenter attention for hoops and football.

KU 10-0! Big game, Iowa State. For the doubters, Central Michigan is bowl eligible, and Toledo needs one more win. So 2 of their first 4 opponents get some street cred.
