If the Phone Doesn’t Ring, It’s Me

2862242929.jpg  I wanted to be sure that I made a post before the holiday, in case I don’t get a chance to do so. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and happy birthday to a few folks I know that have birthdays on or around Thanksgiving time. I hope that everyone has had a great week. I still haven’t managed to put my furniture together, although Sunday is the scheduled date now. The weather is still holding up here, and next week is scheduled to be sunny and near 50 degrees each day. We’ll see if that holds up. My mom will be in town from Wed-Monday of the upcoming week. We don’t have any set plans other than Thanksgiving day, but hopefully we’ll hit the bowling alley, head to Multnomah Falls, maybe even the coast, and of course watch the KU football game(11-0 baby!) on Saturday. Big hoops game versus Arizona also on Sunday.

I went to listen to a group called The Cold War Kids. I had previously mentioned them in a post. They sound pretty good live, which a lot of groups don’t these days. I heard that Blues Traveler will also be in town soon, but I don’t think that I will be able to get to that one. I hope within the next two weeks to make it to a Blazers game, since it is basketball season and all(even though I’m still rootin’ on the Hawks football team for the next 2 months). Should I go cheap and sit in the back rows, or try to sit up close? Has anyone seen a good movie lately? I want to see We Own the Night, which came out a few weeks ago. Don’t forget to watch Happy Thanksgiving Charlie Brown on ABC later this week.

Ok folks, take care. Keep in touch, have a great rest of the weekend, and enjoy the time with family and friends that is upcoming.

  1. I’ll try to update the videos page within the next 2 weeks, even though I love those basketball commercials.

  2. I was wondering if you were in town before Christmas if you could put up some lights.

  3. Kelly is here and just showed me your web site. Sounds like things are going well. Glad you got furniture. Hope it is put together and your mom is not sleeping on the floor. Hope you are having great adventures. Kelly is bugging me for tickets to Portland over Prez Day weekend. We shall see. She cannot move there so no tempting her!! Hope to see you over Christmas break and hope your mom makes you tacos.

  4. Mr. Ruiz, you missed it today! We had our blood drive for Lauren and you weren’t here to stop Dickie from fainting! lolz! Let me tell ya, you defiantly would have laughed (at least on the inside)So I was talking about you to Daniel and “we” decided that you need to donate it to the Community Blood Center, tell them what it is for and then you NEED to come back to SJA! We don’t have any one to go and fight for who gets to hug you first! No other teachers appreciate that! So it kinda blows! So tell me!! When are you going to come here and let us see you!?!?
    Much love,
Bekah (and I guess and little bit of Daniel)
