  So the next day, as I trudged through the afternoon rain and cold, I was fully prepared to enjoy some xmas music. And yes, again it was advertised as free. This time, they had a guy selling tickets at the door, which I thought was outrageous. I again asked if this was free, he said the tickets were $15, and yet again deflated, I didn’t even put up a debate. How can you charge $15 for a concert held at a church that is advertised as free? 0-2 in the concert circuit, and I did not get my xmas fix. The radio just doesn’t cut it, and the same old tunes get old after a while.

But, later that day I did recover nicely, as our bowling team managed to win against some tough competition. I was happy that both of my scores were used, which I believe is the first time in 3 months. 132 followed by 162. Not bad. I still think that I can get to 180, I just need more practice. I will miss two weeks for vacation, so that might hurt my game. Or it might be just what I needed.

I finally made it to a Blazers game. How bout them blazers, that’s a nice winning streak. It was a crowded light rail ride there and back, but saves on the stress(and money) of parking. We purchased some 3rd level seats, still good though, you could see the entire court, and we weren’t so far away that we needed binoculars.  I hope to attend a few more. I could have gone last friday at 7pm, but my flight left around 11pm, so it might have been cutting it close. Tough to pass up free tickets, but I’m not sure my ride could have gotten me to the airport on time, especially since the game ended after 9:30. I was excited to get home anyhow.
