The sun came up on Wed. morning, and it was time for me to head home. I was prepared a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage before the final goodbyes, and also watched the frogger episode of Seinfeld, one of my favorites. Without a map, I forged on towards Portland. This time, headed through San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. My friend DC had mentioned that he would be in Cisco for a couple of days, and we managed to meet up. I was ready to head out while checking the view of the city from the bridge, and his trendy text message came just in time, and I headed towards the city. (By the way, the view of SF from the bridge is awesome. The sky was clear, the weather in the mid 50’s, just perfect).
Both getting into the city to find him and then leaving were quite a task. It’s difficult to drive in a large city downtown, let alone not knowing where you are going. Anyhow, I picked him and we parked, and found a restaurant to have lunch. It was nice to get a Kansas City update, what’s new and all that. For the most part, it seems things are the same, which is good. I spent about 4 hours in SF before heading back. That is one item on my list for next time, to spend at least one day, if not two in SF. I will admit, Panda, if you read this, I got lost and really needed a map. I spent about 15 min. lost in the city until I called for some help. Next time I WILL have a map. You win this round PennyPacker(another Seinfeld reference).

I have a bad streak going: 2 parking tickets in 2 days, one in Portland, and one in SF.

Nick,
Been meaning to check up on you to make sure you made it back to Portland okay. Judging by your latest posts, it’s clear you’re alive and well and have replenished your electrolytes.
Come back and visit anytime.

I love that episode. when they hook it up to the car battery so they don’t lose their high score and the truck hits it at the end!!
